I think they can ban his IP address if someone can find it, I'm not sure how to aquire his IP though. Also, he could be making usernames from a school/work/library computer so would be impossible to really ban.

I think the lesson learned is dont buy from someone with no posts and a recent join date.

He hasnt responded to paypal on my dispute yet. Hopefully paypal refunds everyones money.

Paypal called me within 24 hours of when I sent payment to verify that I authorized it. Did anyone else get a call?

No I didnt get a call. My account on is verified on paypal and I buy stuff using it probably once a week, but have never got a call.
Maybe people had already posted some complaints about the guy before you purchased so they were trying to stop it before he got too far.
