Bad deal..
Bad deal.. I'm posting for a friend of mine bought a car here from a guy with the screen name DGraboyes, if you go to his profile here you will see the ad for the car in his signature.. FOR SALE: 2002 Z28 Black M6 - built drivetrain - 48000 miles - $11000 in NJ
I'm posting that before he deletes it.
We got the car here in Arkansas, it was shipped from New Jersey. Since he deleted his threads advertising it forsale I cant show what was said there, but the main issue with the car was that it had a Lifter come apart and they had repaired it there in Jersey. Me and my friend had asked him before the money was transferred how they had fixed it. They sent pics of the bore cleaned up, the replacement Lifters were put in, and we were told everything was assembled and cleaned up properly. There was an Aftermarket Cam in the car, that had gotten trashed so we were told they put in a stock 6.0l LQ4 Cam.
So the money was sent after we were told that and then the car arrives here. Upon first hearing it run I can tell it wasnt re-tuned for the stock Cam, so I hook up the HP Tuners to it and we spend some time dialing in the car back to a decent tune to drive with. Whoever the Tuner was that did it had no clue what they were doing, the Tune in it for the Aftermarket Cam was so far fucked off I'm suprised it ran.
We got it dialed in and were driving it around, my friend pullled back into the driveway after talking someone for a ride, and it was knocking. I told him to shut it down, we pushed it in the garage and drained the Oil. As soon as we pull the Plug out comes the oil and 3 Needle Bearings. We get the seller on the phone, tell him what happened and ask him why we are finding Needle Bearings and why they are in the Oil Pan, and his response was "Oh I knew we forgot something". We talk about it and he agrees to pay for the cost of the work from the Machine Shop, and the new Bearings. I explained to him how much damage they do to an Engine and what has to be done at this point to fix it. I told him that this was going to be relatively cheap compared to if we let it go and it slung the Rod.
This is where it gets good..
Upon dis-assembly this what we find to be the condition of the Engine:
No Antifreeze was in the Engine, just water with a slight red coloring. My guess is they just filled it with water with what was in the Engine and it got the coloring.
Front Crank Bolt was LOOSE, as in I turned it out by hand, and the Pulley itself was 1/4" out of the Timing Cover from where it shouldve been.
Middle Head Bolt inbetween #3 and #5 Cylinders was broken, it pretty much came out with a Ratchet and 15mm Socket. The rest of it was still in the block.
There were several Needle Bearings in the Engine, the Pickup Screen was littered with the metal shards of Bearing and Needle Bearings.
The Oil Pump was destroyed.
#7 Bearing had spun and ate into the Crank, luckily not stacking and slinging the Rod, we shut it down in time. All Bearings were destroyed.
The car itself is in decent shape as expected, just the Tune was off but that is fixable, and we will dial it in when the Engine comes back from the Machine Shop.
We have the seller's full name, I dont see a need to give that out, the car came from Sewell, New Jersey. It's a '02 Black Z28 with SS Spoiler, Black C6 Corvette 17x9 Replica Wheels, with incorrect tires on the front.
The current standpoint on it is that the Machine Shop is working on the Engine, we have been in contact with the seller and he agreed to send us $1000 to help fix the mess. So far he's been avoiding phone calls and last conversation he pretty much told us to F-off with it, so this post is here to warn any of you about this guy, we will handle the legal side of it unless someone knows him and can talk some sense into him.

Well here's a little update..one of the guys here sent me some info that he dug up so that helps in a way..
Apparrently little **** head here that we bought the car from decided to take the money that we sent him and get a new whip..but over the phone he claimed that he was broke off his *** to send us a $1k for the machine work needed to put the hackjob of the engine back together.
Look at this little racecar..
Nice to know that he's not afraid to post the license place.
Looks like it's got current inspection as of May..

Regardless of the new car or not we are processing the legal action to get out money, he knows that we are taking this route cause we were advised to atleast let him know so he has the opportunity to make amends.
If anyone knows him or sees him in this car
, let him know that he needs to own up to his fuckups.
