Bought this trans few months back. Was told it was in good working condition as that what mikey97m6 told him cause he originally owned the trans before VIPER EATER. As what I was told is the trans was originally in a BBC chevelle with low miles and fwe track passes. It was then pulled and sold to mikey97m6. He never used it and sold it to Jason (VIPER EATER). He never used it then sold it to me. I finally got the car going few weeks ago. As this was a trans brake transmission i had to put trans in neutral in order to reverse. This was all done on a car lift. While I rent through all the forward gears once trans fluid was topped off, I then tried the trans brake for reverse, NOTHING happened. Imediatly shut the car off and pulled the trans pan. Only to have noticed the fluid was glitery and the magnet was caked of metal shavings , as when I got it the magnet was clean as so was the pan (I think someone knew it was messed up and cleaned pan and magnet to make it look "low miles"). Was else to do was to pull the trans back out. I took it to my trans guy and he tore it down right in front of me. Found it rolled the sprag, and the reverse band and 2nd gear clutches are toast. He then tried to proceed to find out who's valve body it was cause he found some unfilmilar stuff about the valve body since it was suppose be a trans brake valve body. He tried searching for the manufactur as all of them put the label on the valve body. Come to find out its just a standard rmvb that someone slaped in there. So he recommends me to put another valve body in it that is for a trans brake (TCI) and put new reverse band and clutches in it.

I tried contacting VIPER EATER about the problem and he explained to me he would help with the cost but he has doctor bills. So I paid $910 for the trans shipped and now having to dump another $600 into it. I am just furious. Who's to blame, whos to be pissed off at? FML
