Default Hate to do it, but...

Beware of current member ANTICOP RAMAIR; we had an odd deal for an OEM WS6 hood that I never received. PM's are blocked and he doesn't respond to texts/calls. This deal was brokered MONTHS ago.

I don't like putting the spotlight on people, but most of us work hard for our money-I know I did, so I don't want the same to happen to other people. Anyone else have a problem with this particular member?

Hate to hear about members scamming people, it's a damn shame. Hard to trust anybody these days without meeting them in person to pick up parts

Yeah, my personal policy regarding big ticket items, anything over $500, should be done in person or ebay, but that member had been here for quite a while, and had a good reputation on 'Tech. I took a gamble and I lost; I won't ever do that again. That was a lot of money, though...

I used paypal; paid the minute I got home from work. I know this sounds stupid, he said he needed a little time before he shipped it out. Seeing that he was a trusted and frequent member of 'Tech I didn't think anything of it. Well, suffice to say the 45 day maximum of filing a complaint with Paypal expired, and the bottom line is he never came through on his end of the bargain.

Ultimately I blame myself. I should've demanded the hood after payment, and not cut him any slack despite whatever personal problems he was having. Again I thought I could trust the guy-he was on 'Tech as much as I was at the time and he had a solid reputation. Live and learn, but honestly I expected better from Texas...

The deal was made right around then. I know it's ridiculous bringing it up now, but back then, when I realized that I got ripped off I was too embarrassed to bring it up here; to do so was pointless anyway-the deal was already past the 45 day Paypal deadline. I broke one of my own policies regarding big-ticket items and I should've known better. I guess I'm just trying to expel this s**t before the new year. I appreciate your support though, 'gents....

I'd be ashamed to show my face around here, but that's just me, and I wouldn't be scamming people in the first place...

Sorry to hear that. I still am thankful that I didn't pay him up front for one of the front license plates back in Jan of last year.

Yeah I read that thread-what a mess. Note how everyone was quick to jump to his defense, though...
