Default MrEracer

I bought a cam off this member way back in Late December. Long story short the cam sat until recently due to time constraints. I never opened the box or checked the cam for defects. The cam was packaged very well. The damage is clearly metal on metal, and was there before the cam was shipped to me. MrEracer told me the cam was in excellent condition with "normal wear". This is how the cam arrived to me.

I had a brief PM discussion with MrEracer and he basically told I was screwed and has not responded back to me.

#2 If it were damaged during shipping you should have been aware of it when you received it. Nothing.
#3 You have had the cam for many months during which time you could have dropped it or damaged it.
#4 It has been installed in your engine.
After all this you want to blame me for your problems. If you think you can make a case with Paypal, go ahead.

When I received the cam I never opened the box till months later because I trusted I wouldn't have bought and unusable item. Stupid move on my part. I didn't want to open an oil covered part in my house. I've been gathering parts for my motor build for months. It wasn't until very recently I around to working on this motor. When I asked you about the push-rods a few weeks back was when I pulled the front of the cam out of the box. Like I said the defect if towards the back.
I received the cam and it sat in a closet for months. There is no way it was damaged during this time. It was packaged very well.
It has never been installed in the engine. Why would I install a damaged cam into a brand new motor? I pulled it of the box placed it and a bench.
I've bought a lot of parts on here and ebay (nebnosnevel1) is my name. Check my feedback. I've never scammed anyone. Please don't leave me screwed here. The money on this build it tight anyway, that's why it has taken so long to gather parts. All I want it is a usable cam.
Edit:I should also note that when negotiating the price MrEracer requested that a sent him the funds as a paypal gift. I added the fees and payed him that amount for protection. Not sure if I have a case here because its really a matter of he said she said. Also if I was to get the cam reground I'd be into it for just about what a brand new one would run me.
