Too early in the morning, my reading comprehension sucks. Garadyy didn't scam you, someone used a similarly spelled name to scam you. You gotta be on point with making sure you're communicating with the ACTUAL person who posted the items for sale. In other words, don't bite when you see someone post in a thread "Hey, shoot me a text". Just use the private message function.

And never EVER use Zelle to pay for stuff over the internet. You have ZERO recourse that way.

Look I'm sorry you got scammed, I'm not trying to take away from that. My comment is more of a warning than anything else for any future dealings.

Is there a thread of this Cam posted somewhere forsale or was it a random post/message of someone saying "I have this message me..".

Never send any money in any manner it's not protected. Tons of scams out there.

I saw that Garadyy was online then checked out. There's a post on Marketplace where they're selling a FAST 102 intake but there's some confusion as to what's actually being sold. I just PM to get clarification. If this guy is a scammer he should be banned from the forum.

The way the guy replies to the threads I've been in is a little sketchy in itself. Seems like it's just to get a post count.

@GremlynnK you can tag him in this thread just like I did you and see what the deal is.

Can't speak for himself then Admin can give the boot.

As a fellow newbie to LS1tech I feel for you mate. You know, you join forums as you think they wont be full of the scammers like in FB market place. As an international buyer its a nightmare as you get ppl pretending to be from USA or CAN with Chevy parts for sale that are willing to ship 'Anywhere', not even for a so cheap a price it flags as a warning. But as soon they won't take std paypal (even when I offer to pay the fee) its time to walk away.

I looked at every post of his and 99% of them are short one liners. But I did see a for sale thread that DID have a scammer with the similar name garaddyy ( added an extra D to make it look like he was the OP, and posted a phone number. My question is, did the OP here contact THAT scammer by phone thinking it was garadyy ( one D)? Or do we have scammers posting in other scammer's threads?

Kind of exactly what happened to me. Newbie to the site, just trying to buikd my car up . First time with an LS Family engine. Let my guard down, I wouldn't have e let something like this happen on marketplace but stupidly I thought "oooo a forum for familiar interest, they surely must be nice" lmao.

The profile seemed to be helpful to others in the forums like he seemed to be replying not just a fresh account.
I reverse image searched with my Samsung and his sale ad pictures weren't popping up like he got them from online.

But after a lot of investigating I found out he's done it in toyota forums under the name Fugarrr with a Marge simpson profile picture. I know that because he was replying to people with the same phone number as he used to text me.

I reallt should not have done zelle and I know that, i simply got too carless and excited for my build thinking this marketplace was gonna be any different than any other one. Scammers are everywhere and its on me.

Probably scammers posting in other people's threads on he was trying to get engagement or bump his own and forgot he was logged onto his other scamming account. But @garadyy is 1000000% the account.

@RPM WS6 here's one that may need to be brought to the attention of the proper people.

I've noticed that for a while just thought it was some boomer that couldn't computer.

Nope, purely for post counts.

If it was me I would initiate a police report and see where it goes, electronic transfers are tracked everywhere they go.

I did contact Capital One about it. You're right, I'm just worried that's asking too much. Like making a police report. But it is 350$ and if I stole 350$ from Walmart, i would be in big trouble. So he should be in trouble too.
