'Watch out for Phil' - Why do topics in this section get locked?
Seems to me nothing should be locked so everyone can see how everything works out.
"Take this one to email please." That's lame. What else is this section for but to put down the whole situation for everyone to read and make their own decisions on whether or not to do business with a member.
I, for one, figure Tom is the loser in this case since he was offered a refund and was then told he could talk to the guy that was really selling them. Why didn't Phil talk to Brent before he offered the refund if he wasn't authorized to do so?? He's authorized to sell the spacers, but not to refund them?
With the lack of integrity from Phil, Brent, AND Ethan, I wouldn't do business with any of them. Whether or not $175 is a fair price...after doing MY research, it is not. BUT, Phil and Brent, I'm sure, DO know how much the proper bolts/offsets/o-rings cost and IF Brent sells them to More Performance...like was claimed by Phil, then he sells the spacers to them for A LOT less than $175, since More sells them for $249 with the o-ring, and More Perf., for sure, is going to make their money on them. So Phil and Brent know they're selling them for more than a fair price...hoping to sucker in those that aren't as knowledgeable in the product.
My .02 worth.
It sounds to me like you need to take a reading comprehension class. Where did I ever say that Brent sells the spacers to MORE Performance? Where did I ever say that he supplies the bolts? Brent happens to know the person who sells to MORE Performance. I never said that he personally MAKES them. Learn how to read before you start making bogus points.
It's a dead subject. If you want to do business with any of us, that's fine. If not, that's fine too. Belive me, you're not going to hurt ANYBODY's feelings if you don't buy anything from us.
I feel perfectly fine that Tony (NineBall) -- the SITE ADMINISTRATOR agrees with what we did and what took place. You might want to think about that before you go spouting off about integrity.

Locking threads is MY call. I will do as I please, and usually done in order to prevent things from getting out of hand. I didn't delete the thread, so everyone can still read it. If you want the outcome, feel free to email either party involved.
Tony
