What would you do in my situation
Monday afternoon I took the block up to a reputable machine shop in Raliegh. I bought the block as a ARE resleeved 4.100 in bore. What I got was a 4.060 in bore. Other than that there is nothing wrong with the block.
I sent him an email Monday night saying what was wrong and he said that they did something wrong....that the shop that RPM in Garner recommended is wrong. So, Tuesday night I took the block to 2 more shops and they did the same thing. Came up with 4.060 in bore.
So what should I do? He doesn't believe me that it's a 4.060 in bore. He doesn't want to return my money and I've offered to split shipping back to him. I could always dispute it through paypal and get my money back in 30 days, but I'd rather we just settle this without having to do that.
get some type of paperwork from the machine shops and fax them to him, so he believes it.
he needs to do the right thing....return your money, get his 4.060 block back.
file it for your records so if you have to take action in court
the problem w/ paypal is unless the money is still in there and hasnt been withdrawn ( yea right) is the oonly time you can mabey get it back. if he has withdrawn it your up **** creek. trust me i had a ebay incident a year ago thats still unresolved.
id get the machine shop to do a print out to keep for your records as well as send him a copy. if you have to send it regisered mail so he has to sign for it, proof he got it. then do that. take pictures of everything!
if he stays his course of it is what it is ect.. and doesnt refund, take legal action. its your only alternative. keep records of everything, tracking numbers emails, photos, EVERYTING!
sorry you got burned, i know it sux
