Default Y2K TA needs to resolve my transaction!

https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...ghlight=y2k+ta

1/26 Struck a deal on some parts that were advertised in the Non LSX Parts Forum. I dropped a money order in the mail that evening.

2/4 I sent a pm asking if the money order arrived.

2/8 I sent a second pm asking if the money order had been redceived and when parts would ship.

2/10 I sent the third unanswered pm asking the same questions.

2/12 I posted in the original thread asking for a response to my pm.

2/12 He posted in the original thread that he was sick and had not shipped any parts.

2/16 I send pm number four asking when I can expect my parts to arrive.

2/16 I receive a pm stating that he is still sick, the parts are still on the car, and it's winter.

2/23 I sent a pm stating that I had already aquired the parts I needed from a local source and suggested that he return my money. I also told him that if the money was a problem, that I may be open to taking some other parts if we could work something out.

As of today I have sent several more pm's asking for my money back. I have yet to receive a response.

After doing a little research, it seems that he has had deals go bad before. The funny thing is that the threads allways get locked as soon as someone calls him out. I guess being a Mod helps when it's time to rip people off.

I'm not trying to rip anyone off. I'm not try to avoid anyone either. If you were keeping tabs on when I logged in, you would have noticed that I have not been on for several days. If fact, last night was the first time I'd been on since Saturday. I had been unemployed for four months up until the middle of last week. My new job started me out on the midnight shift, so my sleep schedule has been totally screwed up. Therefore, I wasn't even able to get online at all for nearly a week. Now that I'm soon to be receiving a paycheck again, I promise you that a refund will be on it's way as soon as I am paid.

For whatever it's worth, yes I was really sick. I have never ever been that sick in my entire 33 years of existence. If I'd had insurance or any money to pay a doctor, I should have gone. If the $40.00 money order you sent me would have covered a doctor's visit, I certainly would have done so.

The thread being locked has nothing to do with the parts that you purchased from me. I never had them listed for sale, and a deal for you to purchase them was struck only after you inquired if I had them available. The thread with the parts listed for sale listed payment by PayPal only. I made exception for you in regards to allowing payment by money order.

I'm sorry the parts haven't been sent to you by now, but I honestly haven't been able to remove them from the car due to my health and the weather.

On March 9th, you sent me 10 identical private messages within 2 minutes of each other. Was that really necessary? Like I've already mentioned, I will be refunding your $40.00 as soon as I receive a paycheck from my new employer.

Yes, I was keeping tabs on when you logged on and I'm fully aware that you didn't log on for a week. Your lack of communication began well in advance of your new job.

I never questioned the fact that you were sick. My problem was not that you couldn't drag yourself out of bed into the freezing cold to pull car parts. It was that you wouldn't extend the simple courtesy of returning a PM even when you continued to post on an amost daily basis.

I saw three threads that were locked after people began to grumble. Maybe it was coincidence? You are correct in pointing that I mistakenly stated that the parts were advertised for sale. The parts that were indeed posted for sale led me to believe that you may have had the parts that I needed, so I contacted you. I apparently missed the "Pay Pal Only" clause but I didn't twist your arm to accept a money order either. Did the money order complicate this situation?

Again, I wasn't upset because you were sick! I can understand weather related delays. I can't understand why you wouldn't return a pm even when you continued to post on an almost daily basis.

I think you have the date wrong, but yes I sent you a barrage of private messages because I had become increasingly frustrated with your lack of communication. I don't guess it was really necessary since you still didn't respond.

Scott, I am not an unreasonable person. I understand that things happen, but you had ample opportunity to communicate with me. Having been unemployed for a few months, if you need to wait for a couple of paychecks, I'm open to that. All I ask is to please let me know what to expect.

Scott,

Since it appears that you are now ordering parts, is it safe to assume that my refund is also going out this weekend?

I'm gonna be honest here, you guys are gonna have to be patient with Scott. He is not on the internet right now (profile shows he's not been on here since the 18th of March).

He's been around here for a very long time, and I expect him to "make good" on all of his outstanding transactions. But right now he's offline, and he told us he might be offline for a couple weeks (he was changing jobs and possibly moving, I think, so his internet connection at home was gone, and his new job did not offer internet access).

Anyhow, losing your temper will honestly get you nowhere right now, as he's not even online to see it. I don't doubt he'll be back, and will get things squared away. All we would ask would be a little patience in the matter.

I feel like I have handled this situation in a quite calm manner considering the circumstances. What gives you the idea that anyone might lose their temper?

I also feel that I have exhibited an exemplary level patience, this has drug out since January, after all.

Other than the posts that I have made in this thread, I have not contacted Scott by any other means since march 5th.

Do what you feel is necessary. If that means contacting the authorities, go for it.

We can't make Scott appear from thin air (as I tell my kids when they want something I can't magically produce). He either gets here when he gets here (which is what I believe will happen), or he falls off the planet. My bet is that he will show back up one day soon and make things right. But if you feel like you want to take it to the next level, by all means, it's your prerogative to do so.

And as for "losing temper", note the deleted posts in this thread already. These things have a way to go downhill very quickly, and turn in to some sort of witch hunt. I'd prefer to keep it civil.

No offense, but this thread was resting peacefully until today at 3:59 pm. I have used it only as a means of communicating with Scott. I hadn't made a post in here since I saw his post about being offline for a while. Furthermore, I'm not a child and I didn't ask anyone to "make him appear".

Yes, I get the email alerts for the quickly deleted posts that other people have made. I haven't bothered to respond to any of them because just like you, I prefer for this to remain civil.

I'm sure it's not about the money. It's the principle. At least the situation looks to be resolved.
