Update from a few months back Maybe some of you remember my story. I am from SC and bought a car from a guy in NJ. He advertised the car to be cancer free with only a little surface rust. When the car arrived it had rot from one end to the other. I was very disapointed and tried to get the owner to give me at least half of my money back but he refused.
I had asked some on here what were my chances of getting my money back and everyone including the moderator seem to think that there was no way I would get it back.
I filed in small claims court and in July I went to NJ, presented my case along with documents and pictures and after hearing and seeing all of the evidence the Judge ordered the owner to pay the maximum amount that small claims allow plus court cost.
When you tell the truth and have the facts to back it up, most of the time things work out for the best.
