In Need of MAJOR Help!! I just bought a 00 T/A WS6 today. I drove it around for most of the day with no problems. Then all of a sudden it falls flat on it face. No power. It acts like its not getting fuel. Smells very lean. I ran the codes and it said that all the O2's are lean and the mass air flow is messing up. Someone tell me what the problem could be. Or atleast point me in the right direction. THANKS!

If the maf isn't reading right it will controll the amount of fuel your moter recieves. Have any buddys with a f body you swap the maf to see if your problems clear up? Also do you have a K/N filter? reason i ask is it could have been over oiled and got in the maf. You can try cleaning the maf too.
Its cool... just resist the temptation to drive it untill you get it figured out. If you do have to drive it be very gentle. Lean= HOT and will self destruct. Also did you check to see if its got a K/N air filter?
I'd clean/replace the air filter if it's dirty, and then check the MAF to see if it's clean, get a can of CRC MAF cleaner and see if cleaning it works. I never had a problem with the car falling on its face, and the MAF on my car wasn't really dirty, but cleaning it anyway seems to have made it run stronger and get better gas mileage.

It was the gasket around the air lid. Half of it was gone and it was sucking air in. Thanks for all the help guys! Its people like you that make joining these forums worth it!
