engine weights

what does old small block and auto weigh compared to Ls1 ls2 and 4l60e or how do i find this info . thanks

Dont remember specific weights, but the new gen. engines are around 80 lbs lighter. Alum vs. steel etc...

Yea, the Aluminum Engines are about 80lbs lighter than the Iron ones. An Iron Block LS Engine weighs about the same as a 350 SBC.
