Default Noisey spring!>!?!>?

I took the valve covers out noticed a push rod was missing on number 7 cylinder..pulled it out...

put a new one in to see why it broked...

but instead i got a knocking noise from the valve spring...

is it the valve spring? rocker arm? or lifter thats making the noise sounding from the spring..or craked broken spring>?>

Well the broken rod may have cause damage to the spring/valve/rocker arm or nut. Check them for damage first. You may have bigger issues depending on how long you operated the car like that and how much extra damage the debris may have caused.

the valve was in the the hole on top of the lifter so what damage could it have done while it was in there.......... and also the pushrod was bent on the top half and broke in half on the bottom part so i pulled it out with a magnent theres no damage to the rocker arm or nut ......every time the spring goes down is when it clicks or knocks and is the spring suppose to turn by hand force in a circle
