Is there a link or site where I can see how to change the gears and axel in my diff. Mechanic want to charge me 1000$$$

Wow, that is overkill.

Most shops charged 250-500. Sometimes less if the rearend is removed from the car... A shop installed gears on a 10 bolt for me for $175 with it out of the car.
