hesitation problem

I have a 2000 Camaro Z28, and i was just wondering if anybody could help me figure ou this hesitation problem I'm having. I don't know exactly how to describe it, but it almost feels like it wants to shift, but then it dosen't and then finally does. Also sometimes when in first before hitting second it seems the car "lags" in a way then picks back up and accelerates just fine. Any suggestions?

When's the last time you gave it a tune up? Plugs, wires, fuel filter... Also what air filter do you have?

i have a K&N air filter. I had a tune up about a month ago. i had this problem before I got the tune-up however. I was thinking maybe injectors? or something with the tranny because of the way it does it right before it shifts. i dont know though.

One quick thing you could try is cleaning your mass air flow sensor. If you have over oiled the filter it can get in to the MAF. Gm sells a spray can cleaner for the MAF.

If its hesitating to shift or feels like its "slipping" its the trans going bad. Not uncommon for the 4l60e

ok i will give the MAF cleaning a try, thanks i hope it works. If not im calling GM tomorrow to get it inspected cause its driving me crazy.
