is the cold air induction piece worth buying? and yes i already have a lid

i think it is...perticularly if you get something like the SSRA which has a ram air scoop.

a few guys have tested teh SSRA and gained/lost .1sec in the 1/4mi by just swapping the lower scoop on and off.

it will get you cool fresh air at slow speed, and some amount of ram air at higher speed.

Just read it and see if its for you. Like teke184 said, its a kinda iffy mod. Some gain, some lose. However, the free ram air might be even more iffy. I bought my car and it was already done to it so I don't really know if it changed anything.

The theory behind them is good, but you won't really feel a diferance.
IMO, put the money towards something else more noticeable.
But if you have a ram air hood, debaffel & seal it to your airbox = free

i'm not sure how less restrictive air inlet would HURT a performance engine.

neither would cooler air.
