The 294 ft-lbs is what's catching my eye. That's below what a lot of bone stock cars put down...

You say it fell off after 6200 rpm; what are you trying to spin it to?

What is your fuel setup?

good point, however he does have a mild cam in that car, although with stock heads it shouldnt be making too much power above 6200 i doubt it should just fall off right there, should hold its own up to 6400 i would guess anyway, but who knows, maybe its not getting enough air in and out at high rpm with those stock heads, still looks a little fishy though without seeing the dyno sheet....and as far as the fuel setup....thats a good point jimbo but if the car was dyno tuned, it should have shown a problem with the fuel pressure when they tuned it....not to mention with his setup stock fueling should hold up and even if it didnt, should still get his power a lot higher than what it did.

Thank you for all of the info!! You keep on saying he or him ? I am a girl. It runs good we cant find any problems on the dyno sheet or the a/f ratio.

I have already checked the cam, was four deg. advanced took it back dot to dot, took it to the track, it slowed down in the 8th quite a bit. spark plugs, wires all that good. yesterday was driving about 35 mph, started sounding like it was bouncin off the rev limiter, got in the throtle and it cleared up hasnt done it since, also sometimes it will idle but most generaly it doesnt want to. i dont know but im really gettin frustrated. I dont mind workin on it i just dont know what needs to be done.

it is a vig. conv. ,thanks but i know what my 1.82 is, even though i am a girl! I really do all the work , and race my own car, wouldnt have it any other way! I did take it to the track this weekend, it ran 12.95 at 104 on the motor, 11.64 at 117 on 125 shot.I still feel like sometings not right, i think i might just pull it out and freshin it up, unless anybody else can tell me why i dont run what i should with what i have

Heres Comps description for that camshaft:

Hydraulic Roller-Street Strip camshaft for use with LS6 or after market intake and high ratios. Requires computer modifications.

That cam has real low lift #'s as far as comparable aftermarket camshafts....I think thats a reason its down on power. The way they say, its "supposed" to be used with 1.8 or 1.85 ratio rocker arms which would put the lift closer to .600.

My suggestion is to either put bigger rockers on it, or pull that cam out and put in one that doesnt require bigger rockers. That it just my suggestion.

You can pull it out and freshen it up, but since you did a compression test and it was alright im leaning more towards the camshaft being the missing link to the low #'s.

How is the transmission? Was the converter put on when you did the cam or was it in before? If the engine and tune checks out I would start looking at that tranny. Try doing a compression test on the motor just to rule it out.

transmission sometimes acts fuuny, wont go from drive to reverse. you have to go all the way to park first, or sometimes it gets in between gears like, it shows its in drive but, you have to move the shifter back and forth a little to get just right. when i run it at the track everything feels good, shifts pretty hard.I put the converter in after the cam. im fixin to pull the conv. out to get the one year free stall speed change.

Im no tranny expert, but thats not good.

Pull the trans with the vertor and have it gone through...thats something that shouldve been told at the begining. Messed up trannys will rob power.

If you have 1.8 rockers on it, than I would have the trans gone through as the culprit...somethings not right inside there.
