Question custom build mid-engine

hey i'm new to the forum thing, but hey it might just be the best way to learn new things. i'm currently designing and gunna attempt to build a one-off custom high performance mid-engine car. i'm looking into GM for the motor, but not sure about a trans. i want to use a rwd longitudinal transaxle, but not sure if GM has ever made one to fit a GM motor. any info would help but i'm pretty sure i want to use a transaxle instead of trans and a rearend(so i can save some room).. thanks oakley

It can do about 250-300hp. Get it built and it can see 1000hp for 11g!
