Intro NEW HERE!!!
Hey guys and gals,
I have recently joined this forum to learn a little more about LS motors. I do not have a LS driven car i currently drive but will shortly.
Quick run down: I have a 94 mazda RX-7 right hand drive. This will be recieving a LS1 transplant very shortly. I bought a wrecked 99 SS (auto) from a auction for the motor and wiring i will need. I already aquired a T56 a while back.
I will be building this motor for boost, and that is where you guys come in handy. Just trying to figure out what did and didnt worl for other forum members.
As soon as i am permitted i will be parting out the rest of camaro! Hopefully somebody along the way needs some good cheap part.
Thanks in advance to the members that will be helping me build my car

Welcome to the site, That will be a cool project to work on. Do alot of research before you put the engine in if forced induction is the path your taking. What's your power goals and budget?
im shooting for 650-700whp, but i want it to take alot more power incase i decide to chamge my route.
As far as budget, Im looking to it around 10k when all said and done. I will build my own SS manifolds, exhaust, subframe, trans brace. and doing all labor myself. So most of cost will be for parts.
Hopefully when i part out rest of donor car ill make some of my money back.
I am excited to start the project fu.ll force that is for sure.

You can use the stock crank with some forged rods and pistons, if your going to stay with 346/347ci. If not you could do a 4'' stroke crank and go to 383ci. Heads... get something with with a 72cc combustion chamber. You will probly want to go with a after market head for the thicker decks (AFR, Trick flow,) for a street driven I would shoot for 9.5:1 compression. ARP studs for the main caps and heads.
That looks about what i will be shooting for. The car should be here today or tomorrow.
I will pull motor and see what i am dealing with.
A stroker doesnt seem like a bad idea.
I originally had a LS7 block to work with, but money got tight and i had to let it go a while back.
