My name is Travis, live in the big state of Texas, 17 (yes i know im a youngin), and might be the owner of a 94 firebird formula.
does this seem like a good deal to yall? i went and checked it out. it has a new engine with 6k on it, 98k on the body. the only thing it needs is new paint on the rear bumper and new lifts on the hatchback. the owner is a real cool guy

Welcome! Yeah try to talk him down to $4k but if that doesn't work it's probably not a bad price as long as nothing is wrong with it. He probably has at least that much $ in engine work. Learn how to drive it well before you go hotrodding. You're still young!

Thanks for the suggestions and the welomes guys! But yea I definately won't be dumb with this one especially since I'm paying out of my own pocket. I don't even have the car yet and my friend who has a srt-4 with some bolt on's wants to race.
Does the car have headers? Cats? Supporting mods for the cam? I.E. aftermarket pushrods, etc. The great thing is you have a 94 model car. It is illegal to take the cats off of anything 96 or newer, so you can get around that. Is it an auto or manual? What kind of shape is tranny in? Did he rebuild that too? Just some more things to think about.

the only thing he said about the heads is that he switched out the aluminum stock heads for cast iron heads that were in a police car because aluminum heads tend to warp then crack? oh and also its been bored over .22?
i honestly dont know about the cats? it has a full borla exhaust? um it has scat rods? has a rebuilt tranny, its an automatic. haha sorry for sounding so dumb
