Ok Il contribute to this thread some usful information. Since the OP doesnt have alot of money I would not advise him to get nitrous as its very costly for repairs as some of us know. I think with 500bucks he could get a stall but a good converter is what 5-800bucks+ installation and a trans cooler+ 150bucks for a retune so were talking over 1000bucks.
after re reading the thread. I would get a stall+some sticky tires out back or even a sticky tire and a 3.73 gear or save up a bit more money and get a good converter and a sticky tire outback. No need for suspension parts since your not that fast like myself. Stock suspension will do just fine
i seen gm gears at ebay 3.73's the good or just get the motives? oh my car is fast alright i yanked somebody drag tires like they aint nuthin a few days ago. ptc stall here i come heheh

Depending on the year of your car and if you don't have a LS6 intake yet I would get that. Combine that with a ported TB and you should be happy. I would wait for gears until you can get good tires and I would wait on the stall till you can get a yank. GL with what you decide man!

SFCs are a good mod, but they won't do anything to make the car faster so you might want to hold off if you have a tight budget.
Additionally, if you do want to do SFCs, I'd go with the bolt-in ones, then get them welded as well. Bolted + welded will be the strongest connection.

Some weld in SFC's are a good idea along with maybe some relocation brackets. Another good idea is if you car is a 00 or older, look for a ls6 intake. Your ls1 intake is robbing you of some HP. If you decide on getting a ls6 intake, have your tb ported by a sponsor. Extra few poneys in that too! 3.73s will wake up your car and be a big improvement as well.
