B.C.M. Problems?

B.C.M. Problems? My 2000 SS is giving me a fit today. I get in it try to start it up after being out of it for about 10 mins. and it doesn't start. All i see and here is the little seat belt man beeping at me. The radio is the only thing that still works. No headlights no nothing just the radio and the cd changer changing cd's.
I was told by some friends that it could be the BCM located under the passenger side dash. Ican't be sure about this so any help will be much appreciated. I would hate to spend 3 or 4 hundred and find out this wasn't the problem. Thanks.
