What is my problem?

The other night i did some doughnuts for a few minutes in a parking lot. I dropped the clutch a few times to get the tires spinning and i would just go from there. After i was done, things werent right. I can run threw the gears just fine but when I downshift from third to second, its simply impossible. I just cant get it in 2nd gear when downshifting from any gear. 1st to 2nd is fine but theres just no way to get in 2nd when I downshift. You can tell the gear is right there but it just feels like there is some sort of a gate blocking you from getting it in 2nd. If i put it back in first and shift to 2nd, it works slids right in. Occausionally you can smell that distinct smell of the clutch burning which has never happened in a year of owning the car so i know its not that suddenly i cant drive. Any ideas on the what could be the problem?Is it the clutch or the transmission?? Could it be that i messed up the syncros in the transmission?

Where you shifting & doing donuts?
Sounds like a fork/syncro to me.

Not literally a few minutes, i guess more along the lines of 30 seconds. Yes i made the mistake of trying to shift to second one time and it didnt go in, it just reved it. So i stopped after that.

Yes im thinking so. Hopefully for the warranty company though and not me.

That's my thoughts as well.........
The difference between failure & abuse is obvious, it'll be up to who does the work.

Ya i have pretty good relationship with a chevy dealership here and i already told the dealership exactly what i was doing and what is wrong. They are going to tear it down and then call the warranty company. They said they would do everything they could and they wouldnt be mentioning anything about abuse so we will see. Hopefully it gets fixed for free and i definitely learned my lesson.
