Driver Side Window Problem Look guys I have a problem, someone tried to break into my car, and in the process broke my driver side window. The motor works fine and the regulator works fine as well. But where the guide roller connects to the window itself at the bottom of the window the cast bracket attached to the window broke. The roller just broke off the window so there is nothing to guide the window up. Is there a way to fix this?? Is there a replacement part for that or do i have to pay some body shop to fix it??
not really.. you will have to pull the window out and drill out the rivets and install a new plate on the window. I have tried welding and rigging and it has never lasted. The job was not that bad. You do need a special rivet gun. I got rivets at fastenal.
