Altitude problem..

Altitude problem..

I bought the car in Albuquerque, and drove it back to Mississippi. I have some loading up and backfiring occurring. I need opinions on cheap fixes. Even if the fixes aren't so cheap, I would like your opinion.

If the change in altitude is the problem then you just have to reset the pcm.

If the o2's are working properly the PCM will automatically adjust. Go get any codes or pending codes read and go from there.... It could also be something as simple as a dirty MAF....

i'm assuming it was tuned. does it still use a MAF?
easiest thing to do would be to get it tuned someplace that knows what they're doing. i would go in the regional section and find out who does the best tuning in your area and go there.

True, but in my experience it usually takes a while, that's why I suggested the reset
