I have a LS1 with LS6 heads I removed the heads and noticed I had MLS head gaskets . I ordered new ones and the Graphite ones came I explained to GM parts house I was working on a ls6 but they sent me these gaskets ..Is this ok ?

They will work fine just be a bitch to clean if you have to pull the heads again.

Tell them you want part number 12498544 (MLS) instead of the 12498543 graphites that they got you. If they can't get them for you, we have them on the shelf for $49.99. If it were my car, I would rather have the MLS gaskets on it. However, if you're in a hurry the graphites will work fine for most applications.

They will handle more compression, boost, HP ect... VS a graphite gasket.

Thanks guys I deiced to use them, I put them on dry . I hope that was OK, I have read myself into a circle. I assume it boils down to preference more then anything .
