Not sure if this is the best place to ask but im picking up a 99 WS6 tomorrow and i live in SD Cali (Emissions ****'s) and from what i remember the only thing the guy has done to the car is put an aftermarket exhaust Borla Exhaust (still has stock cats) should i be good on passing?

Last edited by JmeWS6; Aug 16, 2010 at 01:27 AM. Reason: Type of exhaust

If it still has stock cats in the stock location and isn't throwing any codes you should be fine.

The Borla won't make it harder to pass. In CA as long as you don't touch the catalytic converter you should be fine. Where's SD Cali?

EDIT: San Diego?

Wait a minute. So you're saying that you got a ticket even though you're from out of state? By that, I mean, having a vehicle registered under another state with different laws; your vehicle still has to meet cali's stringent rules....even just passing through?

No, I was stationed out there and it was registered in Cali. At the time, I had a 98 cobra with flowmasters and got a ticket for it.
