New guy, where to begin?

Hey all.

New to these boards, and wanted to know where I should begin with mods for my Z-28. I'll admit up front that I'm not the most mechanically inclined (computers are more my specialty), but I'm willing to try.

Here are the specifics:
2000 Z-28
M6 factory Hurst
NBM
Kenwood MP3 deck
MTX 4 channel amp
Boston Acoustics RX67 speakers
Kumho ECSTA Supra 712 tires
!CAGS
MTI high flow lid with K&N filter kit (carbon fiber)

This is my daily driver, so I'm not looking to go too crazy.

I would start with a nice set of longtube headers, and a good catback, there are so many choices out there.....after that you will be pretty badly bit by the mod bug.....

get a set of kooks headers, corsa exhaust,a set of 373 gears,ported jantzer throttle body,and re-program it, also you will need to get it tuned.good luck, and by the way YOU WILL GET THE MOD BUG.!!!

you aren't looking to go too crazy, but what is too crazy if you are willing to get atleast crazy? lol. Long tubes, catted y pipe (helps keep the noise down inside too since t his is a daily driver), if you have $$ go with a GMMG, or Corsa catback. They are expensive though, but for good reason. If you are simply looking to increase the fun of the daily drive...look into some sub frame connectors. I've even read a few times that a tune on a mostly stock ls1 will yeild some decent extra ponies at the rear wheels. This site has a variable plethera of information for you. Just use your search button, or post up and ask these fellas. I'm probably not someone you want to take his word for it. Im still a newbie, but most of these guys seem to know their **** really well.

cheaper start....hrmm....Lou's short stick with pro 5.0 shifter, tint windows, change out the air lid and K&N. exaust, and then go for the more extravogant stuff...thats a good start though laterz Justin
