Default need tech help

is there a difference between LS1 and LS6? I thought I read somewhere that the LS6 had more "webbing" in the block for the crankshaft. I am aware that they have different camshafts, valves, etc. I am only asking about the bare block. Also if anyone has any weight numbers for a dressed ready to run LS1 or 6. With alt., water pump, power steering pump, etc. No a/c. Thanks for any help.

There are slight casting differences in the block itself. Better bay to bay breathing is one of them which allowed them to convert to a valley exit PCV system. Weight difference would be negligible between the two short/long blocks. I believe GM lists the weight of the dressed Alum 5.7 around 375lbs. But not 100% sure on the exact number.
