Help a Newbie?
Help a Newbie? I'm hope that I can learn a little more about the LS1 other than knowing it's a Chevy Engine. I know next to nothing about cars in general so I was wondering if there was a site that has a spec sheet on the interweb that tells all about the LS1. ie bore, stroke, valve specs, camshafts

Go to www.Amazon.com and order a book called chevy ls1/ls6 performance.It has good info for beginners to midrange users

If you want to learn about the LS1/6 I would do the following:
1) Read this very interesting "background" article on the LS1 and its development from Hib Halverson: http://www.idavette.net/hib/ls1c.html
2) Read about the updates that came with the LS6: http://www.idavette.net/hib/ls6/index.htm and http://www.idavette.net/hib/02ls6/index.htm
3) Pick up the LS1/LS6 performance book by Chris Endres that Blackattack mentioned above: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...glance&s=books
4) Then (IMO) you will have enough background to really learn from this site.
