so i put in my new 2800 yank stall in my 99 ws6 hooked everything back up on the underside driveshaft and all to find out tht my torque converter wouldnt spin.... i was stumped i called yank they were stumped told me to drop the whole tranny....so me and my buddy did tht in 45 mins which was impressive for some newbs (i thought) when my buddy from pur performance looked at it one ofthe tangs on the tranny pump was broken off so we are just gonna have the whole trannny rebuyild with a shift kit probably a good idea considering ill be pushing around 500 hp so i got tht to deal with and a new tranny cooler to put it.....just takes time i guess
Sounds like the converter wasnt seated fully, then the trans was installed, when installing a converter you have to put it on the shaft and spin until you feel it drop in further, it will do that twice. If you fail to do this and install the trans, you will break the ears off the pump. Sux that happened.

Everyone makes mistakes and has to learn the hard way. Its a shame too bc all the information about fully seating the converter is here on this website.
