what is D/A

i see people talking about D/A when talking about track times. what is it, and how do u find it for the track that you run at. does it change? please fill mr in.

density altitude.the lower the altitude the denser the air,which can be affected by temp,humidity and barametric pressure.

some tracks have a meter somewhere or they print it out. or just buy a meter yourself

try a google search. density altitude. Just to give an idea. My 01ss did 13.2 in 2000 da vs 12.6 in -1000 da. You make more power in cooler air

Dragtimes.com had a neat DA calculator under the "tools" tab. You can also look up the density altitude at any drag strip in the world all the way back to like 1999 I think it goes back that far anyway. All you need is your time slip it should have the date and time on it.

yea, I have used drag times too.

All I will say is what you ran is what you ran that day. IF you live in a place like Denver CO and really want to know what the D/A in New Jersey, Texas, or even Florida can effect it, then go for it. Just don't go around and saying your really runs this "Adjusted" as it really does not count.
