Default What could this problem be??

Ok..... First off, when I bought my car from another individual, the speedometer was 10 mph off.... when it said i was going 35 on the speedometer i was really going 45... the reason that was i think is because the HPP3 was programmed for 2.73's and I have 3.73's....

So my bf changed that in the HPP3 and now it is only 5 mph off.... when im doing 40 on the speedometer im really going 45. Now....

every since he has fixed that for me on the HPP3 I have noticed my car does a little like jerking thing right before it shifts from 3rd to 4th gear.... not bad just kinda like it shifts then jerks, then its fine...

now also when i am driving and for example a street light is red, so i start slowing down for it say from like 50-55, then it turns green so i don't come to a complete stop i just start pushing on the gas again at about 20... my car will bog down really bad and WILL not get speed up quick until it shifts again, then its fine...

I don't have a coverter or cam or anything, that is all stock... someone said it may be the stock converter.... could it still be something programmed wrong in the HPP3??? I have no clue what would cause either one of these two things... any ideas?

Thanks guys!
Melissa

if it just started doing it when u programmed with the hypertech again, it has something to do with that... could be that the program is too far off and the car thinks it is at a certain spd when it really isnt... causing shifting problems... tire size could be off... try setting everything back to stock

I had a somewhat similar problem i went from 2.73's to 3.42's and my speedo is almost 15 mph off. basically reset the pcm and drive it around without the hpp3, in my case the hpp3 was the problem. btw is your car a 99? I called hypertech one time and they said the programming in the hpp3 was not very good for 99 cars for some reason? and how it wasn't set right also w/ 3.42 gears. I remember going into second in the middle of turns. the shifts were just really bad so i just sold the darn thing. sold it to and m6 lol
