I would also skip the K&N FIPK and just get a normal air lid.
Since you have an '02 (with an LS6 intake stock), I wouldn't worry about a Fast intake/TB setup with stock internals. I mean, you'd see some gains, but IMO the cost vs gains isn't enough (unless your goal is for every single horsepower possibile from a stock internal engine) until you start looking at internal engine mods. Just my opinion.
As for the gears, is this an M6 car? If so, I'd just go all the way to a 4.10 if you're going to bother doing a swap at all.
EDIT: If the car is an auto, forget the gears altogether and start looking at torque converters first. Gears won't provide nearly as much of a gain for your money.
