newb hello all. i am a owner of a beautiful 66 chevelle that is soon to be transformed into a pro touring car. no idea what i want under the hood yet, but it will be a ls engine and i will be fed by twins or a blower. i hear from many friends this is the site to find killer deals on ls engines and trans... so if anyone has a ls1, ls2, ls3 for sale let me know

When you open the main category section, scroll down till you see the parts for sell section, thats where you will see what is out there. Dont know about killer deals though, almost everything related to hopping these cars up retains good value even used. as far as what engine for you, what kinda power you lookin for, an iron based ls block will hold alot of power.

i like the idea of iron blocked ls engines bc they can hold so much power. but love the weight savings of the aluminum block.
off hand does anyone know the weight diff between a bare iron vs aluminum?
looking to make between 550-600whp without pushing anything to hard.
