Engine Swap I'm looking to drop a v8 into my 94 Camaro RS v6. Any suggestions into what motors will drop in easiest and will mate with my 4l60e automatic transmission. I was looking for either a ls6 or even a ls1 motor, so any information anyone has will more then be appreciated
You'll need to upgrade alot seeing its going into a V6 car...I would try to part ways w/ your current car and start shopping for a LS car...and no a LS series motor wont work w/ your V6 tranny

Are you sure because all models with an automatic transmission use that same 4 speed 4l60-e tranny. I have a friend with a 2000 z28 and its automatic with the same transmission. I dont think his motor has the aluminium block, but still is mated to the same transmission thats in my v6
