engine swap question I am in the process of choosing which LS engine to replace my 350 in an old manual 72 truck I am restoring. I definitely want an iron block, decent horsepower and reasonable mileage for a daily driver.
I have looked at the LQ9 450 horse from turn key engine supply, but am leery due to some comments on this forum. I am looking at the LSX376 with fuel injection as well, but it's a bit pricey and far from turn key. I am really looking to make this as painless as possible so turn key is sounding really good. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Budget is about $8500
I will be running a non-comp controlled manual trans and will need to resolve mounting, fuel and engine control as well as purchasing the motor.
