OP I think that 1/8 mile time is avg. I'm in north alabama and I see full exhaust lid auto cars run 8.6 to 8.9's regularly. The local track here 1/8 mile only isn't exactly known for its track prep so that et and 60' is avg around here. When I was boltons with a drag radial in 60 degree weather I made 2 passes one was a 8.5 with a 2.0 60' @ 85 the other was 8.3 with a high 1.9 @ 84. Car is in sig

I thought the AC shuts off at WOT so that really wouldnt be a factor at all. Correct?

Its not the "loss of power" from running the AC that is a no-no its the condensation that drips onto the track that's a problem. I really thought more people knew about that.

Surprisingly, nobody ever thinks about it that way.

Yea, you run the AC and it'll drip water all the way down the track, not safe.

OP, go to http://www.dragtimes.com/da-density-...calculator.php and enter in the track and the date. It should get you a good estimate on the DA. I know you said the temp was 80s but that's only one factor for calculating DA. It might be a lot better than most people think if the DA was through the roof.

BTW, my bolt on 99 TA ran 8.4@85 but it also had a pretty massive intake leak that was leaning it out.

I realize the safety issue with the water dripping from the AC. I was just commenting because in the last post on page one the OP stated The AC was on and it was 85 degrees. I was just saying that the AC doesnt hinder performance because it shuts off at WOT. So there is no "Loss of Power" that I know of...

But DA and weather plays a big part and that is why timmy jones is asking.

That 60' could use some work as well. Get a 1.8x 60' and you will be doing good.

That should be about right... with those mods you should be going alot fast...
