Default problem after car wash

so i cleaned and washed the engine, and now the engine is idling at 2.5k,the thing is,that this happened 1 day after the wash.

i disconected the battery and it worked good for about an hour, now is back,my car is a/t and is quite dangerous to drive like that....i disconected and reconected some wires and it worked again for like 10 min,

any idea what could be damaged??

on the side note, this is an 240sx/ls1 swaped car, tuned with speed density only...

Maybe knocked a vac line loose? Definetly sounds like a vac issue.

I would think a vacuum leak that big would be pretty loud. You should be able to hear the sucking sound easy enough with the hood up.

Were you careful around your sensors and MAF? If you have even the slightest doubt, unplug and check those connections again. No codes at all?

ok,so looks like the problems solved, somehow i managed to crack the plastic ´y¨that ties the vacum for the 2 valve covers,i removed and cleaned most of the connectors and then thats when i saw the ¨y¨, i covered with black tape and went for a test drive and its all good,i took the car to work(20 min stop&go)and ran good,

now, to get a replacement on the plastic hose, how should i ask for it on the store??

thanks

Trial and error when it comes to that unless your really good and guaging size. Take the broken peices with you and see what they have in the rack.
