I have a 2002 ws6 stock. My question is what are ls1's suppose to run as far as temperature is concerned. Mine runs at 210 and has for 2 years.

The temp gauge is a dummy gauge. It will only read hot if the car already overheated.

I assure you... it will happen eventually. The thermostat will quit on you some time or another.

But this thread should have everything you need... (also on the first page of this forum)

The simple answer is anywhere between about 190°F to about 230°F, depending on weather and driving conditions, with stock tuning and a stock t-stat.

wouldnt 230* be a little on the hot side?? Everytime i see my temp passes 210* i turn my low fan on.
But then again, mines an lt1 and ive got a digital temp gauge so its completely different than the stock needle. I dont trust my stock one at all.

I have seen as high as 235 in 100 degree weather with the AC on. Perfect normal as the low speed fans are designed to turn on during the 220s and high speed I believe in the 230s.

Not as far as the stock fan settings go.

As posted above by 01ssreda4, 230° can definitely be within the normal range of operation under certain weather and driving conditions, with stock fan settings and a stock cooling system.
