Rev. Limiter

I ordered my cam already...it's bigger than usual I'm guessing, but not too big...Does the rev limiter go up automatically or will I have to change it and how do I change it? Thanks

what cam is it? And what RPMs does the cam peak at? You should set your rev limiter at least somewhere above where peak power comes in at...

and no, the rev limiter doesn't automatically adjust... you will have to use LS1 Edit, a custom dyno tune, or a Predator to set the rev limiter higher.

That's a pretty big cam... know where it peaks at? I'm guessing that if you leave the stock rev limiter, you'll be leaving a lot of power on the table. You will have to bump that rev limiter up to at least 6700-6800 and shift at at least 6500 to get full benefit of this cam, I'm thinking.
