I have the right one and you should be able to get one from your local parts store to rent but from what i remember a after market UD Pulley has 3 threaded holes in it like a Gen 1 SBC and you can use that puller also.

I have that 12$ puller. 3jaw. Literally ive lost count on how many pullies ive pulled off ls motors. It only works on truck and ls cars except the vettes. I got a smaller one i made from 2 others.

Some underdrive pulley's have to use a different type of puller. Not a 3-jaw, but one with the threaded rods like blk/slvr02ss said

pretty much, the pulley was the most time consuming thing i had to do when the cam went in........well, besides the big-gay valve springs

my aftermarket pulley doesnt have bolt holes so i cant use that type of puller. the big grooves on the pulley where the 3 pullers would grab onto are not flat, they are slanted so the teeth slip right off. the only way to grab it is from the very back up by the timing cover, but when that happens the 3 pullers always end up hitting the front lip of the pulley and therefore pry the teeth off of the back when i start tightening it down.....

would grinding the teeth on the puller make it fit better? you could put a angle on the teeth which would fit the pulley better?
