Engine Swap I currently have a 89 5.0 mustang. I have heard of people taking that motor and tranny out and putting in a ls1 motor and the tranny to go with it. I am considering doing this. What all does the job entail? Thanks

heres how i would do it if it were mine
low miles 5.3
MS3 cam - with supporting mods (springs, lifters, pushrods, oil pump, timing chain)
edelbrock carb setup for lsx motor
carb 150 shot
th400 with a shift kit and a stall
for the install you need foxbody LS1 headers theres a few companies out there that make mid length and longtubes
you need the swap mounts - usually the mounts come with a crossmember for the th400
and to use the mounts you need an fbody oil pan
do this and set it up with some DR's and your in the 10's possibly even 9's its been done with the same setup on a budget
