Default cam question

Ok guys im lookin for a cam for my 99 ls1. I found one from a seller on here its 272/287. I just want to know some opinions if that cam is too big or whay. I really dont know alot about this and need some quick help. My car isnt my dsily driver and o dont take it to the tracks....yet..... just want that extra power.

I would honestly do a search. This site is full of info on all different cams. Another "quick" alternative would be to give a sponsor, or a company that deals or specializes these products and get their opinion. That's usually the route I go when i am in debate on different parts.

That's not near enough info to base an opinion on, list the other info the seller has on the cam.

What mods does your car have now? Headers, exhaust, lid, etc???

list every thing about your car.list the cam card info and the cam grind serial number.we are psycho not psychic.

what is the valve lift? sounds like a pretty big cam.. also what do you want to do? DD,street,drag?
