The pistons have to match the bore, you will be able to use the rods and crank from the 5.3 but the pistons are larger for a 5.7.

You guys probably will fry me for not looking his answer up but I'm not savvy to this site. I have a 04 5.3 with .588 cam around 114 lobe sep. with I believe 228 duration. I want to put these 806 heads that have been ported and 2.02 intake valves on the 5.3. Anyway to trick some compression back with a gasket instead of milling heads. I guess the heads are 66cc?
