Need advice and input I have a 2000 z28 with ls1 ls6 CNC ported heads ls6 intake and 42lb injectors just did the heads and intake in last week have a monster stage 3 trans with a 3200 convertor and brand new strange 9" and fully adjustable qa1s on front and back all done last couple weeks. Last season had stock ls1 with a baby cam and stock ls1 intake and had the same trans and stock 10 bolt witch pooped 3 times on me. I bracket race the car an would like to know what cam should go with or should I have a custom grind cam? And also have a 4000 jeggs performance converter I could put in I run 1/8th here at local track. Would like all input could get.

Did you bore your cylinders at all to compensate for the heads and in wich case i would get a high end fuel pump and fuel rail and of course a control moduel if not all your doing is getting more air volume but your fuel is still coming as 5.7. like you I'm wanting a beefer cam but at th moment i am using comp 220/220 and complete set. oh and i qould slap some lakewood traction bars on her to. these f bodys don't hook up in the *** very well but i don't do th same kind of driving as you. and fellow readers pls correct me if i am wrong. I'm still workin th kinks out myself

1 make sure your ECM is tuned for those bigger injectors .with the small converter consider a Texas Speed 228r cam .with the bigger converter look at some thing like a TSP torquer v3 cam .what rear gears do you have ,and what rear tire size do you use ?
