help identifying ECU Hey guys,
I got a 5.3 (or what I think is one) from a guy off craigslist. I have to check the stroke to make sure it isnt a 4.8. But he says the motor was from an 04 tahoe. The ECU he gave me does not seem to be correct as I ordered a new harness for the motor from PSI and the connections just dont match up and im fairly certain after some research that the harness is correct and I have an earlier generation GM ECU from an unknown vehicle. I was hoping someone could verify this is the wrong ECU for an LM7 5.3 motor and advise would it be better to get a junkyard ecu and get it tuned or can I buy one pretuned....I am swapping the LS into a GM A body.
