Battery Problem?

Battery Problem? So yesterday i got in my car and as soon as I turned the key all the dash lights and interior lights came on and died instantly and the gauges started to twitch. I cycled the ignition on and off with no results so I assumed the battery was dead. As i was walking away the alarm started to go off, so i got back in and it cranked back up with no hesitation. Drove around a little bit and turned it off and it turned over like normal when I started it back up. Now its acting like its dead again. Does this sound like a battery problem or maybe a loose connection? Car is a 99 z28
check your battery cables where they connect at the battery.
if you have a volt meter, check voltage across the battery terminals with everything off... preferably after the car has sat overnight. if it's 70°F or warmer outside, you should measure at least 12.50 volts. if it's below 12.40 volts you have a weak/dying/dead battery.
