Valve Spring Change
Piston is the only sure physical contact kinda way to do it..some put rope in the cylinder too for extra insurance. If your setup is tight with no leaks and no valve or seat problems, the air should hold it just fine though. That method has worked for a lot of people for a long time. Where that could go wrong is if the air pressure leaks out of the chamber..but if that's the case the heads need to come off anyway to fix whatever that problem is so it works out. If the engine ran well before you are likely good to go with air IMO. And have all of your stuff laid out to get it done quickly.
Good luck!

Motorsports cam in it , 600 and 610 lift and around a 240 duration .
Should sound and run quite nice! You shouldn't have any issues with air leaking out of the chamber on a healthy motor. Follow the instructions and you should make quick work of it. Search the forums for "Tim's tool" and you'll find a guy selling a spring removal tool with the air pieces for a really good price. About to purchase myself.
Good luck!
