part identification Can the brain trust tell me what this part is that comes off behind the TB? Is it a necessary part or can it be eliminated on an LS swap in a race car?
The part says AWV 5607, but a google search did not bring up anything

EVAP solenoid.
You don't need it if you vent the fuel tank another way. I removed my EVAP and vented the tank in to the rear bumper with a little air filter. You just have to turn off the DTC's for the EVAP system so the SES light doesn't come on.
